As an artist I strive to build from scratch and focus on consistency and desires to exceed my end goal of becoming a fashion designer.
Consumerism and overconsumption have set ourselves a reality built on constantly admiring  possession in order to fill a void of materialistic features. This is due to the idea of society falling on status and money. However, the reality untold is that we consume so much to impress others and not ourselves.
Therefore I have created an installation piece titled The Fashion Revolution in order to advocate this concept, I explore the themes of social issues raised by society in the perspective of fashion.
I have utilized found objects and textile waste collected from my job to utilise as my medium for my fashion piece. The purpose of this is to showcase and substantiate that textiles and thrown away objects have the potential of being reduced and recycled and will help work against environmental issues that are faced today and too allow the public to open new perspectives in hope to create change.

The Fashion Revolution
The outcome of the final production is both a story and statement to tell. The images are staged in order to convey my intent meaning of consumerism and over consumption.
There photographs are surrounded by leftover textile waste that has been reproduced into creating the garmnet.
The of this outcome Is to allow the audience to further understand the issues of society behaviours that contribute to textile landfills which is hurting the environment.
From the workshop outcomes I have incorporated different stylistic approaches of "shiring" and "ruffles" to build the garment.
The fashion piece is photographed over materials in order to imitate textile landfills
The black and white image is inspired by concept book 2 setting to evoke a dull emotion to the meaning being conveyed.
Overall , did the final production respond to all three design principles ?
*Environmentally Friendly , Aesthetics, Honesty*
I am pleased to say that the final production is environmentally friendly as it is recycled textile waste and is honest for that reason. However it was a challenge to create something aesthetically pleasing and fit into designer trends.
Maybe it was not meant to be?
